Our standard plantation shutter repair visit starts at £95. This includes:
- Assessment of your existing shutters
- Diagnosis of the problem/s
- Initial advice
- Up to one hour of repair labour
- Straightforward adjustments where possible

Replacement Shutter Slats & Louvres — £21.50 Each
One broken slat doesn’t necessarily mean a new shutter. If an individual plantation shutter louvre or slat is damaged, it may be possible to replace just that component.
Replacement shutter slats and louvres are £21.50 each.
This can be a particularly cost-effective solution where the rest of your shutter remains in good condition.
Rather than replacing an entire shutter because of one damaged component, we can look at replacing the part that has actually failed.
Replace the damaged part. Keep the shutter.
Tracked Shutter Repairs & Track Realignment
Specialist Tracked Shutter Repair — From £175
Tracked plantation shutters require a considerably more involved repair process than conventional hinged shutters. If shutter panels have come off their track, simply putting them back into position may not solve the underlying problem. Depending on the system and condition, the repair may require:
Remove → Assess → Adjust Track → Realign → Refit Panels → Test → Fine Tune
This can involve removing the shutter panels, inspecting and adjusting the track, repositioning the system and then refitting each panel individually. In many cases, the work can be very close to a new shutter installation in terms of complexity and labour.
Why tracked shutter repairs cost more
Tracked shutter systems can require considerably more specialist knowledge and labour than a standard louvre or hinge repair. The final price depends on:
• Number of panels • Track configuration • Size of the shutters • Accessibility • Condition of the track • Extent of realignment required • Number of panels requiring removal and refitting
Tracked shutter repairs start from £175. Because tracked systems vary, we strongly recommend sending photographs before arranging an appointment.
Additional Repair Labour — £55 Per Hour
If your repair requires more than the first hour included within the initial visit, additional repair labour is charged at: £55 per hour. We will explain what additional work is required and discuss the cost with you before proceeding.
Custom Replacement Shutter Panels
Duplicate of Existing Broken Panel — From £195
Sometimes a plantation shutter panel is damaged beyond economical repair.
Where possible, we can provide a custom replacement shutter panel made as a duplicate of the existing broken panel.
The replacement is made to match the existing panel as closely as possible, taking into account:
• Panel dimensions • Shutter style • Louvre size • Panel configuration • Colour and finish • Frame requirements • Hinge requirements • Material and manufacturing requirements
Custom replacement shutter panels start from £195 per panel.
The final price depends on the exact specification, measurements, material, colour, configuration and manufacturing requirements.

Shutter Removal & Reinstallation - From £55
Some plantation shutter repairs require the shutters to be carefully removed before the necessary work can take place.
This can apply when:
• Windows are being replaced • Window frames require access • Building work is taking place • Major shutter repairs are required • Panels need to be removed • Shutters need temporary removal • Tracked shutters require complete panel removal
Local Removal & Reinstallation From £55 per window
Straightforward local removal and reinstallation starts from £55 per window. The actual price depends upon the size, configuration, accessibility and complexity of the shutters.
London & Extended-Distance Removal & Reinstallation
Quoted Individually
Long-distance removal and reinstallation is different from a straightforward local repair. In most circumstances, we may need to make two separate journeys:
Visit 1: Travel to the property → remove the shutters
Visit 2: Return to the property → reinstall the shutters after the window or building work has been completed
A London project can therefore involve several hours of travel on both occasions, as well as the removal and reinstallation work itself. For this reason, extended-distance and London removal/reinstallation work is quoted individually.
The quotation will take into account:
• Number of shutters • Number of windows • Shutter size • Panel configuration • Removal time • Reinstallation time • Accessibility • Distance • Number of visits required • Parking and road charges
We will provide a clear quotation before the work is booked.
London & Extended-Distance Shutter Repairs
We receive enquiries for plantation shutter repairs in London and other areas outside our immediate service area.
Long-distance repair visits start from: £125
This includes:
• Travel allowance • Shutter assessment • Diagnosis • First hour of repair labour
Additional repair time is charged at: £55 per hour
An extended travel charge may also apply depending on the location.
Extended Travel — 45p Per Additional Mile
For properties outside our standard service area, an extended travel charge of: 45p per additional mile may apply.
The applicable travel charge will be discussed and confirmed before the appointment wherever possible.
We believe customers should know the likely cost before we travel, rather than receive unexpected charges afterwards.
Parking, Tolls, Congestion Charges & Road Costs
Some longer-distance journeys, particularly into London, can involve additional unavoidable costs.
These may include:
• Parking • Tolls • Congestion charges • ULEZ or other applicable road charges
These costs are charged at cost. We don’t add a markup to these expenses.
